Case study

Davie Vet Center

Davie, FL · serving the community since 1978

The challenge

  • The clinic relied on a Facebook page.
  • New pet owners couldn't find hours or book online.
  • Every appointment had to go through a phone call.

What we built

  • A Meet the Team page with flip-card portraits of the staff.
Example flip-card portrait of a Davie Vet team member with her cat
  • An online appointment-request flow — her team gets an email every time someone requests a visit.
    • So requests can still come in when the phone isn't answered.
  • A design that matches the clinic's personality — warm and local, not a generic template.
  • Handed off so she can run it herself — the owner receives everything directly, no developer needed.

Under the hood

The parts you don’t see are what make it actually work:

  • Shows up correctly on Google and Bing — structured data (hours, phone, address, map pin) plus Google Search Console verification, so search engines display the clinic properly.
  • One consistent business listing across Google, Bing, and AI search.
  • Moved onto a custom domain without breaking email — connected the domain via DNS with zero email downtime.
  • Loads instantly on phones — the main photo went from 3 MB to under 600 KB, and real mobile layout bugs were fixed by measuring the rendered page, not guessing.
  • Updates go live in seconds — an automated deploy pipeline pushes changes safely.
  • The owner can run it herself — handed off with plain-English instructions, no developer required for everyday changes.

The result

The website changed how the clinic runs day to day:

  • More freedom for the team — appointment requests now arrive online instead of tying up the phone all day.
  • Easier for clients to reach out — booking a visit is a few taps, anytime.
  • More new clients — pet owners searching online can finally find the clinic, see what it offers, and get in touch.
