Terms of Service

1. Who we are

lazsite ("we", "us") designs, builds, and maintains websites for small businesses. These terms apply when you create an account in our client portal, request a project, or purchase our services. By checking "I agree" at signup you accept these terms.

2. How our process works

• Free wireframe. After you request a project, we may prepare an initial design concept ("wireframe") at no charge and with no obligation on either side.
• Start fee. If you approve the wireframe and we accept the project, a $200 start fee is due before build work begins. The start fee reserves your spot and covers initial build work; it is non-refundable once build work has started.
• Final payment. The remaining project balance (quoted per project before work begins) is due when the site is complete and before it is transferred or launched on your domain.
• Monthly maintenance (optional). Ongoing care (updates, monitoring, small edits) is offered as a monthly subscription, cancellable anytime; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

3. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Prices are in U.S. dollars. If a payment fails or is charged back, we may pause work or suspend services until it is resolved.

4. What you own, what we own

• Once the final payment clears, you own your website — the site files, your domain, your content, and your customer leads.
• Content you give us (logos, photos, text) stays yours; you confirm you have the right to use it.
• We may use general techniques, tools, and know-how from the project in other work, and may showcase your finished site in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.

5. Your responsibilities

• Provide accurate information and timely feedback so the project can move forward.
• Keep your portal account credentials secure; you're responsible for activity on your account.
• Don't use the portal or our services for anything unlawful.

6. Cancellations

• Before paying the start fee: you can walk away at any time, no cost.
• After the start fee, before completion: you may cancel the project; the start fee is not refunded once build work has started, and work completed to date may be billed proportionally.
• Maintenance subscriptions can be cancelled anytime from the portal and end at the close of the billing period.

7. Service expectations & liability

We build carefully and stand behind our work, but websites depend on third-party services (hosting, domains, email, search engines) we don't control. Services are provided "as is"; to the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the project or service in question. We are not liable for indirect damages such as lost profits.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the business evolves. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date; continuing to use the portal after changes means you accept them.
